Any USB device can be used. The devices decide the charging speed, the charger only offers and provides what's requested within its limits.

Total overkill though for phone or iPad. Get something more portable.
For your use case consider one of these if they show up again:
https://electronics.woot.com/offe...ll-charger

For MacBook Air or so or multiple phones/tablets this than can charge your devices at the same time:
https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-100...B091Z6JNX4

If you travel internationally and global versatility is of concern, some of the Minix Neo chargers come with international fitted adapters. They have them in 60W, 100W, and 140W models.
https://www.amazon.com/MINIX-Char...08M3SFWKB/

The 140W charger is really only needed for the 16" MacBook Pro. Most if not all of the 14" ones will be fine with 100W.

Note: Keep in mind some older 16" MacBook Pro can only charge at 140W if you use the USB-C to Magsafe 3 cable!! That cable is another $50 MSRP for Tim. USB-C ports to USB-C cables (even a 240W cable) will only charge at 100W. See this Apple support link:

I've always been fine with beefy 3rd party ones from Amazon, but for those who want an authentic second charger for their MacBook Pro, this is the best deal you'll see. Still seems incredibly overpriced, and this is what I would hope the MSRP would be, not $100.

Thanks for that. If I brought this into an Apple Store would those geniuses be able to spot a fake? Also, can you recommend a corresponding Apple cable for this charger - I'll be using this on an M2 Air that I'm just opening this week. This charger will be for my bag. I hate that it's so big, but I decided I don't wanna go cheap on a charger so that I can keep the battery as good as it can be for years to come. I hope I'm on the right track…
Signficantly overkill for the air. Air's only need 30/35 watts. So if you want to spend the same amount and future proof yourself. Walk into your best buy and get this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/appl...Id=6530832

On your MacBook Air after buying and plugging in this charger. The matching serial number verifies its genuineness.

Same price for the 70w as this 100w at Best Buy. Doesn't Apple tech only charge what the device is capable of meaning if the prices are the same, go with the higher charging power? Genuinely curious if there is an issue with too much power being delivered.

What are the chances this is a knock off? This is Woot...

Amazon owns Woot, and they're legit. If you have an issue, return it.

It's just a lot bigger and heavier. I think the Air max charging rate is 67W, and you can get a quality GaN 65/67W charger that's a fraction of the size.

The Apple 140W charger has the best efficiency and power quality on the market. It will likely sustain 140W for longer without overheating than any other Anker or other 3rd party charger out there. Whether that matters is up to you but the component and performance quality of this specific Apple charger is well worth the $100 MSRP if you want reliable 140W power.

You got two out of three right. Woot is notorious for selling fake Apple products. Yes, many are genuine (likely this charger is) but not guaranteed.

because woot is an outlet?
To qualify the above statement... Woot is Amazon's unofficial outlet. It was an outlet for overstocks for many manufacturers before Amazon bought it, and it remains the same, just under Amazon's control. After selling Woot, the founder created Meh (dawt) com, which serves as an echo of the original vision for Woot.
