It's a Western Digital 7200rpm, CMR, NAS drive with a 256MB cache and a 3 year warranty.

It's been sitting in my wish list forever. First time I've seen it this cheap on Amazon.com

Iunno why its being downvoted. I literally bought this drive 2 weeks ago from this exact amazon page.
Sucks that amazon doesnt have any price guarantees, and I already opened the drive and am using it, and doing the entire return scheme isn't worth my time for $20.
This may not be the cheapest TB per dollar, but this is a NAS rated drive, not some crappy 34tb low-hour-easy-fail drive for $125 or something. I bought this because I needed quality, and durability. My last red NAS drives (two identical 8tb WD red in raid) have over 68,000 hours and 800+ power-on-cycles (EACH) and are still "good" under crystaldisk .

I have 5 of these drives and they are phenomenal for NAS use. I use mostly WD REDs for the last 8 years or so. Near 100% uptime not too loud either.

Great price; even better than last year's Black Friday deal, which was $366 for 2 (so $183 ea.).

I bought this exact drive from Amazon 18 months ago for 149.99, and 139.99 in 2019, crazy to me that when we're looking at 26TB/28TB drives available now and these are going UP in price

Education discount (15%) plus cashback is still cheaper if you buy from WD.com.I just got 2x 10tb red Plus 512mb cache for $340 + 5% cb (so close to $160 each)https://www.westerndigital.com/pr...u=WD30EFPX

Price is nice but looking at WD's Red Plus spreadsheet, the jump from 8TB to 10TB means moving up to 7200RPM and almost a 10dB noise increase. So if this is in a noise or vibration sensitive environment that's something worth considering.
