Stay away from whitening toothpastes. Ask any dentists. These make teeth sensitive to the point of being painful with regular use.

It depends on the person. People with Pre-existing sensitivity and damaged enamel might experience increased sensitivity or pain. I've been using it for over a year without any issues.
