I brought this chair last time it went on sale. It's worth $30, but there's a lot of imperfections in the chair. Seams aren't clean, some some stitching is off. It has to be from a batch that did not meet certain standards. I use only 5-6 times a year, so it's worth $30 to me.

The 8ft umbrellas are okay if you know there isn't gonna be any wind. Other than that it's a pain to deal with

The sport brellas that clamp onto a chair are great if you have a camp chair and watch your kids play sports on sunny days. I see people use chairs with built-in overhead shades, which don't have the adjustability that this umbrella allows. The sun comes from many directions, and this sport brella has been great! I will say that if it gets super windy, these can warp or break, just like any umbrella would.

The clamp on umbrellas are great. Been using one the past 3 super and love it. The fact you can move it to any angle is the best and it's super stable

Picked up the Versa Brella XL last time on woot for $1 more. Have yet to use it because it has been the coldest baseball season. But maybe one day. Looks like it will be handy but won't hold up to wind. We usually use a loveseat style chair and it has a pole in the center between the two seats and this fits on there great to shade both seats. It limits how it can angle and bend a bit, but should work.

Is the separate adjustable umbrella the same that's included in the $30 chair+umbrella? I've been considering an umbrella like this to use with a stroller.

It looks to be the same. I have attached such an umbrella to a stroller and it works fairly well, you just need to have a spot on the stroller where it can clamp to and get a good grip otherwise it will tend to roll where it clamps on.

The chair is not coming up on their website with the discounted rate. Is there a special code needed?

I don't think so. Unless they've updated the chair, I got it years ago. The umbrella with the chair has a lower-profile clip that matches a part attached to the chair. That makes it slightly less bulky and awkward than the stand-alone umbrella. However, it also means that it only works with the chair it comes with.

The stand-alone umbrella has a much more bulky and versatile clamp.

These are terrible. Do not buy. You will regret it. They don't last at all. Seams starts coming apart very quickly. Plus it's terrible to drag around.
