Dyson air purifiers are so bad in terms of CADR they should really be just classified as fans. I am a dyson fan (no pun intended) but if you'd be better off looking at other brands like coway (air mega 200m) or winix (C535/C545/C909).

Thanks. I'm in the market for an air purifier, and was wondering how well this would perform

this is the non wifi version. i got a brand new one from an impulse buy from wayfair a couple of months back for $212. i can't comment on the technical aspects since i've never owned or needed an air purifier before but it has a very premium feel and great aesthetics to it.

Last time I ordered this from eBay, it was supposed to be in "like new" condition but it ended up being pretty banged up. Had to return it.

Take a look at the Levoit line of products if you are looking for serious air filtration. The 100S is no nonsense. But I agree the Coway and Winix have similar design principles and legit basic tried and true filter shapes.

We all know where they are all made anyway

as far as allergies go ive got bad allergies usually when i fly in and out of florida or when seasons change however since ive bought my 1st dyson fan maybe three years ago they are amazing for allergies all ive bought were refurbished ones from $150-$200 the 1st purchase still works fine but snagged 2 more over the years on these refurbished deals as i truly believe they work amazingly well for my allergies Smilie

I'd go Winix over Levoit. That company lied about their filters being TrueHEPA filters and then scrubbed all their website regarding this after being called out. Winix still uses TrueHEPA filters.
