I have an EGO trimmer from ACME, no rapid feed, about 3 years old. The battery, 2.5, was good and is still good. Feeding the string is a pain, but with the complaints on rapid feed, maybe I should be more grateful. The pain is worse when string stops coming out but is not empty so it needs to be more involved. The thing is very powerful. I would think the 4 battery might get heavy, though the 2.5 battery needs a recharge if I do a LOT of work, after which I also need a recharge. A lot of work usually also means 1 or 2 string refills. Getting an on sale ACME seems like a good idea to me.
Do you have a link for the refurb?
