No wireless charging on this no ANC version as well. Took me going to the apple store thinking it was faulty until that was brought to my attention. So get the ANC version if you want the nicer wireless charging case. they wouldnt sell me just the case to "upgrade" my airpods4. My mistake for not paying attention to the differences in the airpods.

This is a silly take. AirPods last for years. There's not some crazy new tech coming to the next AirPods that make these obsolete. There is ALWAYS a new gen of tech coming out. Buy what you want and live your life dude. This is a good price.

couple of months back, i bought one for 86+tax at target only. that time there were coupons at circle for $15 off on $100 etc.. so price came down to this.

While your intentions are right, the tone of your message comes off as a know it all snobby elitist. Also, you didn't specify the Airpods Pro line is the one being refreshed and announced at WWDC in June not the Airpods 4 that is listed in this deal. Macrumors buyer guide linked will tells it all.

If you're looking to buy the regular Airpods 4 or Airpods 4 ANC, then you are good to buy when there is a deal.

AirPods are closer to a 3-year release cycle, and these were released less than a year ago. The rumor mill points more towards updates for the AirPods Pros and/or AirPods Max this year

why would someone wait for a trivial item like headphones to have a "new, updated, more expensive" version? Would have to be fully blue-pilled to do that.
