Yeah, I have this in a different color and the latches SUCK. Mine haven't broken yet (3+ years) but they're a pain to use and an obvious weak spot in the design.
Functionally it keeps stuff pretty cold and is otherwise decent at this price point, but it's not as good as other rotomolded brands like Yeti or Rtic or the Igloo IMX line.
