5070 barely a upgrade over a 4070. 5070ti is supposed to be a decent upgrade if you get a full wattage version

Good deal. I just got the ROG Strix from Walmart for $1299 but this seems similar with 32GB already installed though. Anyone know how this panel compares to Asus' Nebula display? If it's the same I might return what I have and get this HP.

I ordered one yesterday actually. If you want the 3 yr warranty, talk to sales chat first. A 3yr care pack with accidental is normally $389. They gave it to me for $300. The 20% only applies to the laptop not the care pack, so this was additional.

Side note, this is not per key LED, it's 4 zone of you care about that.

Got one.

$1359.99
-$3 for HP Rewards sign-up
-%5 cash back for Spirit Bank of America credit card
Final cost = $1289.14

HP Rewards $ earned (in 36 days of shipping) = $40.71

I hope that this one doesn't sound like a jet engine like the MicroCenter deal that I'm now returning (https://dealquestnow.online/f/18224107-hp-omen-16-ae0001nr-16-1-intel-core-i7-14th-gen-14700hx-1-5ghz-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-8gb-gddr6-32gb-ddr5-5600-ram-1tb-nvme-1099-micro-center)

What's considered loud for someone is different for everyone, but its a Ryzen 9, so it probably runs just as hot if not hotter, the only reason it might be quieter is because it has onboard graphics which should handle the majority of the workload before you switch to a game and the 5070 takes over and it takes off.... Silent and gaming laptops don't usually go together.

Also they will be using an almost identical cooling solution, which also means it will probably be the same when gaming noise wise...

I mean it's a gaming laptop, isn't that par for the course?

I used to have a Dell gaming laptop from years ago when I was still making VR apps - overtime gaming laptops make loud noises, particularly the fans

I understanding that they get hot and fans can make noise, I'm being wishful on this one. Don't piss on my parade.

Still though, I've managed thousands of systems in my day and I own a few other gaming laptops personally. The device that I linked to however is especially loud. I suspect that's part of why it was available for $1015 open box at MicroCenter this week.

Lol, just keeping your expectations realistic.... Also Open box, who knows if someone tinkered with the cooling or opened it up and maybe disturbed some thermal paste. Just to give you some of that hope back.

The newer these Nvidia graphics cards are, higher fake frame rates will have.

Insane deal for a just-released part, on a super strong CPU too. A 365 laptop by itself with 32GB of RAM would be almost $900 on a good day, more like $1000+ typically without a dGPU no less a 5070.

So in light of all that does this laptop fall apart after 3 months or something??
