I bought a 7800X3D from an Amazon seller for $10 below the typical price, and it turned out to be a tray CPU. No warranty. Not worth it.
$7 dollars off.

LETS GO
Not too sure but I wouldn't trust it

I'm trying to build one with the same processor in my mind.
I think this youtube video is one of the decent guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0...vdw&t=708s
There's also https://pcpartpicker.com/ for you to pick your parts and see how compatible they are before you buy them.
Good luck.

thank you what graphic card are you going with

Thinking to go with 9070XT as it is cheaper than 5070ti and perform similar to it.
But right now since the price of GPU is so much higher than the MRSP, I'll probably just try to hold on to my RTX1070 that's breaking down until it break down.

I found on Amazon where a third party seller selling it for $399. I'm ready to pull the trigger but I'm afraid if it's gonna be authentic or not.
Both sold AND shipped from a third party seller out of China. I definitely wouldn't trust it.

I think prices will settle in the next few months. There are microcenters in nyc with $699 9070xts, and they maintain inventory. Won't be long before demand is met.

5070ti might come down too, but dlss really gives Nvidia an edge. Fsr4 doesn't have as much support, you need to implement other tools to hook into existing upscalers, but it's bannable in multiplayer games.

My nearby Microcenter (3 hours drive) had the ASRock 9070xt for that price too but out of stock right now. But yeah I'm praying my old GPU last till that happens.
Hopefully they will have some good deals by then.

This processor was supposed to be released for $399.. but intel failed miserably to provide competition.. so $480 plus price gouging sellers...fwiw, for a quick minute it has been $439 on Amazon.

If you need a msi mobo with this CPU you can get it from their site for $435 combo price. Yesterday there was a memorial Day sale. 5% off and I also got $11 cash back so I think I paid about $400 give or take after all those savings/discounts.

Is the name and address of the 3rd party seller all in Chinese characters? If so it is likely a fake. I bought from 2 such vendors. They purposely use a shipping method that takes 7+ days but the package for the tracking number never gets picked up. Regardless, support will resist helping you because the promised delivery date has not yet arrived.
Amazon refunded both of my purchases like this after the promised delivery date passed, and the merchants get delisted not long after. I guess some people forget to claim their refunds and/or the merchant collects a little bit thru amazon before they get delisted?

That's exactly I was thinking depite the seller has a higher rating 🤷 ♂️
What is the rating from selling? Usually it's like a bunch of $1 items and stuff that has nothing to do with shipping expensive CPUs.

If I actually want one of these, but don't need it right now, should I buy anyway? I'm asking if the price is going to go UP because the market on these things is f'd lately.

Is this deal dead? I went to MSIs website and don't see it. I can use this combo.

I just tried to replicate and the coupon code is now dead. If you can wait till father's day they should have another coupon. It was 5% off selected items.

This is $459 at microcenter and even cheaper if you add ram and a motherboard. This is not a deal breaker
