Sorry for the OT question but my garage burned down and I have to replace all my lawn equipment. Question: Ryobi 40 volt or EGO 40 volt or another brand? Thanks.
I've had both, I don't recommend Ryobi unless you are already in the ecosystem. Ryobi doesn't work as well in cutting, vibration and noise. I haven't yet greenworks, but would considered it if I'm starting over. Heard good things about them. I love the ego stuff, but keep in mind their battery is known to fail after expiration. Mine failed during warranty and they send me a replacement.

Personal choice.

Ego is definitely the lux, expensive brand and will face issues due to Trump given it's entirely a Chinese company. Ryobi is also manufactured in China, though.

Ego quality sounded higher to me so that's why I went with Ego. But it's definitely expensive Chinese crap. It's still all plastic.

Off topic, how much did your insurance cover you burning down your garage? Mine has seen better days...

I keep hearing about prices going up, but don't see it happen.

Whereas, they actually went up A LOT before him.

Use your brain...it's called using logic and discernment, not pushed agendas.

Not worth of combo because the trimmer was just $153 at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago. Is the blower worth of $100?

For reference: Lowe's had the kit a few weeks ago with the 615cfm blower and trimmer with power reload for $250. Only had a 2.5ah battery though....

That was a good deal too.

This combo comes with a 4Ah battery. The trimmer from Lowe's came with a 2.5Ah battery.

The trimmer from Lowe's has more features.

The leaf blower, tool only, sells for about $80+ used on eBay.

Again, this kit is a decent deal now. It has been even cheaper in the past and probably will be cheaper again at the end of summer.

Because he keeps balking at his self imposed tariff deadlines letting companies stock warehouses. He keeps saying he's going to cause prices to go up, pretty rational that people anticipate that he'll eventually do it.
