For a 7.25 Cordless Brushless Makita with two 5ah batts (selling for $90 per battery) and a dual port charger (selling for $120)... charger and batteries are worth $300, alone. If you're interested in this, you have to read this 2018 review by Pro Tool Reviews where they gushed praise on this Makita and gave it a 9.3 out of 10. Apparently the batteries communicate with the charger, and it employs active cooling for a faster charge. It will charge two 3ah Makita batts in 30 mins, and two of these 5ah Makita batts in just 45 mins. It uses expensive magnesium to make it lighter, however, with two big 5ah batts and a blade, it's close to 11 lbs in weight. The kit seems to me like an awesome deal for a full size brushless Makita circ saw and the fact you get the dual port quick charger with a turn around time of just 45 mins for a full charge.

Wish it was lighter. I have the back handled Makita and it's just way too heavy for everyday use and simple cuts. Regret buying it but oh well.

Great deal! The stores here locally that have it marked to $200 are out of stock and the ones that have it are still at $399.

(AP) - Home Depot doesn't expect to raise prices because of tariffs, saying it has spent years diversifying the sources for the goods on its shelves.

Billy Bastek, executive vice president of merchandising, said during a conference call on Tuesday that Home Depot's suppliers have shifted sourcing across several countries and that the company doesn't expect any single country outside of the U.S. will represent more than 10% of its purchases 12 months from now.

"We don't see broad based price increases for our customers at all going forward," he said.

I remember when you could get this deal for $199 and it included an extra pair of batteries, so 4 batteries total.

If I'm not mistaken, when you buy this kit in-store with select other tools you're supposed to get a free set of 5ah batteries (BL1850B-2) in addition to the ones included in the kit.

That said, i don't see mention of it on the home depot site, so.....

I heard these are going to cost twice as much later this year due to Tariffs. I got these on the bundle deal last year under the free trade agreement between countries. How life can go shit in a few months. But love the Saw.

this is misleading information. While the saw is top quality, it is also heavy for its size, and while fast in RPM, lacks torque of newer competitors and so will bog down in deep cuts. The batteries are MSRP 90 but nobody will buy them as much this platform has been around the longest and the batteries are dime a dozen. Charger is unambiguously great. It is a solid deal if you want a right hand sidewinder - but it's merely a good deal and definitely try before you buy it's a dual battery model which makes the dual charger thing a necessity not a bonus - unless you buy more Makita.

Yeah, what's a few hundred thousand dead people so long as you can get your Chinese saw for $200 lol.

Man when it comes to boomers they're not sending their best. Some of you, I assume, are good people. 😂😂

Does anyone know how this would stack up to the smaller DeWalt 6" circular saw? Is it worth having a separate platform for this? I'm not super invested into DeWalt, just 4 batteries but I'd planned on getting that $300 bundle from a couple weeks ago (2 tools, 2 batteries).

I'm not seeing how anything I wrote or the review I linked to was "misleading." Also, those batteries are selling right now for $90, so not sure what you're going on about "nobody will pay that." And plenty of deal come with a bare tool or no charger. It is a big deal for somebody that has no other Makita tools that this deal comes with a charger included - esp a dual charger since the saw requires 2 batteries to run. Did you even bother to read the review I linked? Again, nothing I stated was misleading.

how kind of you to inanely introduce politics. Thanks to the "red hats," nuclear escalation is no longer a viable strategy in Ukraine, which allows life to go on so you can buy Makita at any price.

Which Faux news segment injected you with that?
