I use them with Taco Bell drop, Dodgers Panda Express, Amazon, McD, car insurance, etc. They work at so many places.

You usually have to register them before using them for online shopping, so that it can verify the billing zip code when you check out.

Other than amount, are these any different than the $200 ones that staples advertises for no fee on a regular basis? I use those all the time in most places and online without issue and I've never pre-registered one.

What's the benefit of buying this virtual Visa/Mastercard from Kroger to use at Amazon gift card? Don't we already earn 2x fuel points for buying Amazon gift cards at Kroger? Are there any other benefits for buying this virtual Visa/Mastercard card to use at Amazon to buy Amazon gift card?

It's very important to register Visa/Mastercard gift cards like these online (with your address and zip code) before trying to use at online stores. For online purchase, make sure the balance of the gift card covers all the amount.

For instore purchase, it usually deducts the amount from the card balance when you slide the gift card at the checkout. Then pay the difference with another payment method (cash, debit/credit card/etc) if the gift card doesn't cover the amount. I used to tell the cashier how much the gift card balance was before sliding the gift card at checkout, but now I don't even have to do that since the system automatically deducts all of the balance of the gift card if my purchase price is higher than gift card balance, then the system prompts me to submit another payment method for the remaining cost of the goods.

It's super easy to use these type of Visa/Mastercard gift cards.

I usually use them at Amazon to reload my Amazon account or buy Amazon gift card at Amazon.

You wouldn't want to use this at Amazon. You'd want to use it somewhere for which Kroger doesn't sell gift cards, but also someplace that you don't get extra cashback using a specific credit card. I would use this to pay for something like my internet or cell phone bill. Or insurance.

i used to buy and use these 10 yrs ago a lot . ofcourse you have to register for online purchases. I am not saying that. They don't work 80% of the time regardless of registration or not and whether what you said is done or not. they don't work online or in store 80% of the time. I wouldn't buy these for $20.

You can use Visa/Mastercard gift card to pay for your insurance (car insurance?)? My insurance only accepts bank transfer as monthly payments, I think. I don't think we can use credit/debit cards to pay for our car insurance.

You must be doing something wrong. I have used Visa/Mastercard gift cards from rebates, etc for online and instore many times. I don't recall having any issues using them instore locally like Kroger and Meijer. I usually use them at Amazon for online.

Since you mentioned you used to buy them 10 years ago, for instore use, I remember I had to tell the cashier how much balance the gift card had then they had to put the number as a payment with the Visa/Mastercard gift card first before I slide the gift card. I didn't have to ask cashier that last time I had Visa gift card when I used at Kroger.

It's too bad the Amex Blue Cash Preferred 6 percent cash back doesn't apply, as it would for purchase at a grocery store, would be a good way to accumulate points
