Would you have preferred they just stay quiet, keep our money, and let batteries keep exploding?
The ones that don't... and sell this much... are the ones you need to be nervous about.

L take. You WANT companies owning and recalling their defective products.

Pouch cells are more prone to failure naturally. I only recommend them when thinness trumps longevity and safety.

Well they were forced to since they're a fire hazard.....not like theyCHOSE to
That's not how it works with Chinese brands. CPSC has limited resources and often doesn't get any cooperation.
Unilateral recalls are extremely rare. They basically have to be torching several homes and proven beyond doubt for CPSC to go there.
It's not hard for a foreign company with no US skin in the game to avoid such matters.
Often companies will make the process into a punishment so much that CPSC just gives up. And that's with US operations. Much easier for CCP ops to pull off.

Amazon would delist them as a seller. Yes. They had to recall.
They will only delist if CPUC issues a recall. I explained clearly how they can worm out of it.
The classic ploy, I've seen it myself, is the maker insists on their own investigation.
Months later, they blame consumer abuse. CPUC has limited resources. If the fires are less than X, they drop it.
Baseus did what a lot of CCP operations wouldn't, and owned it. You want that.

Also this charges pretty quickly via PD, I'm more willing to leave a powerbank unattended at an outlet while charging than leaving a laptop or tablet.
It's a lot easier on the mind leaving an inexpensive power bank charging unattended at an outlet, than something like a laptop or tablet, and this also charges pretty quickly via PD.
Yeah. Devices with better, more advanced BMS.
Old phones bloated and became a hazard much more easily. BMS got better in your phone. Baseus is using less advanced BMS.
