The quality of the tape may be somewhat better with Scotch brand, but for general purposes, the other brands are perfectly fine. Especially if you already have a tape dispenser. It's even cheaper per roll if you use a lot and purchase a larger quantity.

Yep. My usual is find brands warehouses and shipping companies are using and then find third parties that are selling some of that. I can usually find an offering or two of someone selling that at 1/4 the price of "brand names". Any other approaches you use?

You can frequently find it on sale for less than 50 cents a ROLL for 110 yards.. Yes it is thin and I often use two passes but even using twice the amount of tape, it's still dirt cheap..
