How is this any better than the HP OmniBook 7 Flip 16" 2-in-1 AI Laptop that was on here a few days ago?

It's got a number pad… lol - sorry, after reading the thread you posted, that seemed to be the biggest complaint.

I'm also in the market for a new laptop for school, so I'd like to know the same thing.

Costco had this exact model on sale for 1,050 last week. I was going to order one but a Costco rep had told me they went out of stock (she must have been wrong). I just got the HP for 1,000 and it's nearly identical spec...same chipset which includes CPU & RAM. This Asus has a little brighter screen, and a numpad compared to the HP. The HP has a stylus included and the screen seems plenty bright. The battery life of this chipset is really nice compared to my Vivobook flip 16 with 13th Gen i5 CPU.

CPU is complete shite though. Reviews against current AMD even last-gen AMD mobile CPUs are horrible. Why don't the AMD lappys go on sale?

Core Ultra seems to be built around efficiency of single thread applications, and this is about equal to an Apple M2. Not terrible, but it definitely shows that x86 and SoC designs from Intel and AMD are not yet optimized for each other (if it's even possible).
