Lots of good choices here. I grabbed For All Mankind, Modern Times ($10), Paris, Texas, Speedy ($10), Vampyr ($10), Speedy ($10), and The Circus ($10). I already own some of these on blu, but I love the convenience of streaming.

I'm looking at some others as well, and may grab the 39 Steps and Carnival of Souls later. And probably some more, since Criterion doesn't seem to have digital sales too frequently.

Quote from gamingdroid :
You're unlikely to get your money back if they revoke it. They are likely legally allowed by your acceptance of their terms of service to revoke it.

Examples of that can be if they loose the right/license to continue to stream it, or if they go out of business.
There's a "too big to fail" theory that if one of the these companies goes out of business, the others will swoop in to protect license-holders. Failing to do so would crater confidence in the model and torpedo sales, leading to further shutdowns. We'll never know until it happens.

Disc rot is also a possibility.
It's extremely unlikely. Aside from the WB titles (that were poorly manufactured) there's little evidence that any properly stored discs from the earliest days of DVD are breaking down. And anyone who is championing physical media should be taking reasonable care of their libraries.

It looks like none of these include any extras which is almost 50% of the reason why you buy Criterion.

I remember streaming many of these on Hulu years before Criterion had its own platform. Now most of them are available on Max and Kanopy (free) if you were curious about a title and want to watch it before buying a FaH streaming license.

Now that you mentioned Kanopy, it's only available where libraries can afford it. Please support your library.
