yeah the 735x comes with the lil in/out feed ramps and it looks like this comes with the stand too, which is outrageously priced on its own. Extra set of knives, but fancy folks are putting helical in em. I'm at the "buying s4s for outrageous prices" stage of my woodworking journey, but this or a jointer are likely my next purchase after I get busy learning the table saw ins and outs.

Have this set -- the stand is very helpful to have (install the wheel with the lever backwards to keep it out of the way--common hack--but maybe it's built that way now from the picture). In feed and out feed tables are also a must have, and an extra set of knives if a nice bonus.

Helical cutter would be a great upgrade, but for the casual woodworker it's probably not a cost-effective upgrade ($457 for a Shelix). I've stayed with standard blades and it's been very good unit out of the box.

A good price for the DW735X with an extra set of knives is $500 as recently as December at Amazon and November at Acme. I fail to see how adding a mdf table for $200 makes this a frontpage deal.

Agree. HD is not the likely place you'll get a slick deal on this.

Agreed, considering the table was just on sale for $100. I bought one at the price and it's just OK. I like the WEN one better since its much more versatile and better built, which I have 2 of, but it never drops below $152 that I've seen.

I also got my DW735X for under $500 on Amazon in 2021.

Just assembled one from the recent $100 deal. It can be installed inside or out, however, if inside it's hard to get to with the shelf (which is not shown in the picture, but it does come with it). I found that you can pull the pin on the foot part and turn it around and it'll work.

Totally agree. The stand and feeding tables are must-haves. Take a but time to learn, but it will a big step further into woodworking hobby. This is the overall best in its class, function, price, ease of use, etc., from DEWALT.

I think the difference is tariffs. The old normal price is now the discounted price.

Is this hackable? I already have the planer, but would like the stand.

From research, this is the best planer around. I want one.

The replacement blades and feeding tables are $47 and $50, respectively, on Amazon.

You're essentially getting the planer for $500, the table for $100, and the blades & feeding tables for $100.

This deal is indeed worthy of a Frontpage Deal, imo.

I am sad that I couldn't afford it when I saw it pop up.
