Wow - $365/battery under $0.1/kWh

Edit: oops - as others pointed out, I calculated cost per Wh, so x1000 per kWh makes this around $100/kWh . The point is that this is a terrific deal for a quality battery of this size.
8 batteries is about 25kWH, and price on amazon after coupon and tax is $3000-3200 depending on tax rate (5-10%).

To be more precise: 4x$730 [=$2920]/8x3.564kWh [=28.67kWh] = $101.85/kWh (btw no tax in Oregon and other states but possibly 30% tax credit)...

Compared to? This is almost as cheap as building your own. This likely has Rept or Hithium 280AH, a 200A BMS, 2GA wire to terminals.

Nice I paid ~$800 for the pair a year ago on previous eBay sale without Bluetooth. Running my off-grid 3000W hybrid inverter. 7.2 Kilowatt hours is plenty to blast a window A/C 24/7. Good deal

Your math breaks down when you price a nice waterproof enclosure with screw terminals! Not worth it unless you need something custom you can't buy.

Precisely...when these go on sale with a stackable discount, it's hard to beat even DIY. As cell supply dries up, I can see some even scavenging from these new complete units to fashion a particular custom config.

What are the main differences between this and the server rack version that generates 5kW whereas this one can generate 7kW for roughly the same amount of money?

The batteries in this post are 12v and have a plastic case. The server rack version has a metal case and is 48v which needs thinner and thus cheaper cables to deliver the same watts (look up ampacity charts). The 48v also has RS485 communication which allows it to talk to the inverter so that the inverter has more accurate information about the battery charge state and configuration instead of basing it on the voltage alone.

before I went to bed last night it showed $780 after tax and I decided against it. checked again this morning and final price was right at $700. figured I wouldn't see this good a deal for a long time so I jumped on it.
I assume I want to wire these in series to get to 24V. what's a good solar charge controller and inverter to pick up? I'm hoping to power an always running dehumidifier in the basement and a small window AC unit in my bedroom.

Last month tariffs were 145% lower than they are now and the US dollar was worth more. This may be the last chance to get decent prices on a lot of things.
Or not. Right? Just temporary. Would you pay, for example double (it's not even that bad) for one month, so you can pay less for a decade or more? Or would you rather never see a crunch, nor a price hike and always pay extra ongoing and out of control? The point of a possible price hike blip is well taken; I'm just saying the macro purpose is not to raise your prices, it's lowing them. So raising the value of your hard earned dollar, on going. And history is on our side, in these matters. Big picture. Your work labor is what drives the perceived value of currency. And what you are willing to trade for your paycheck. It's really not how many dollars should something cost, at least first. It's how much labor should it cost. BTW this is why a JOB, living paycheck to paycheck, without any investments falls behind. As does over spending. Read everything in a free and recommended financial investment site, for more details. Except for their advice about paying their fees. Pay no fees.

China tariffs were just lowered to 30%, from 145%. It might be better to wait, unless you are in dire need.

I have 4 of the non Bluetooth version of this battery, I'm so tempted to grab 2 more to increase my storage to 21kWh.

I imagine the new tariffs are going to start effecting the price of these pretty soon?

I have 4 of the non Bluetooth also. Have them installed but haven't even had a full cycle yet. How are yours so far ?
Thanks

Go victron for the shunt and mppt. It's really nice to have them communicate wirelessly and those two items aren't extremely expensive compared to the competition. For inverter, not sure. I blew up a 4k watt 24v no named unit so I upgraded to a 4k watt 24v sungold power which was then knocked out in a lightning strike (pull your RV jacks up in storms)... Currently I'm leaning towards buying no name again just because I could go through a couple before getting to the cost of the sungold and my last one made it a few years. What may make your situation tricky is that window unit, inverter units ramp up but the older models don't and have quite a bit of inrush that can overwhelm these smaller inverters. You'll probably want an inverter unit anyway just for the efficiency gains if you plan to run off solar.
