But lucky for me, I delayed shipping to my "Amazon Prime Day" which is Sundays, so delivery date was May 4th and they hadn't shipped or charged my card yet. So cancelling was instant and hassle-free.
Going forward, unless I need an item right away I will always delay shipping to my Prime day. That way I lock in the price in case it gets more expensive. Or if it gets LESS expensive the next day, I can cancel easily.

That IF the placed order AND future deal fall in your favor in which is unpredictable and inconsistent. If day 29 lower better deal comes up and you received the placed order on day 19, you still have to have it returned anyways.
