If the screen is so close where your small kid hits it, that's your issue. Seatbelts should do their job.

If you're so scared, adjust it to the side and not front to back.

Came out to $9.49 (before taxes) for me.

This might come in handy for road trips were looking to take this summer.

These things are generally unsafe in accidents.
YMMV, but we used to use tablets and screens for our roadtrips (kids are 7, 5, 4, 4), but we managed to retire them last year, even on very long 6+ hour rides.

Retired kids, tablets, tablet holder, or all of them?

Now you can re-create the Switch 1 reveal trailer, but with the Switch 2.

I like use a tablet screen as an airbag for my children. At least they'll be distracted by cartoons as a lithium ion battery cushions their face.

And things like this totally don't become projectiles when you're in an accident. Put the tablet down for 5 minutes, the kids will have to look at real life to entertain themselves. Scary, right?

I assume all the "projectile in a crash" folks are also removing their rearview mirrors, have no dash cams, and removed everything else not bolted down from their cars? A soup can could be a projectile in a crash but I'm sure you all only drive sedans and never put cargo anywhere but the trunk? Stop catastrophizing everything, you can't control your way to happiness and absolute safety.

Not saying these are completely safe, but the use case for these is usually a young kid in some sort of car seat, so no their face won't go into it, however it could dislodge and go flying into their face.
