Not a huge discount on either monitor, but mentioned it in another thread and it had some interest so I figured I'd post it in it's own thread. Price seems good though for 4K 120Hz IPS in my opinion. I'll not neither monitors have KVM switches though.

Maybe it's just me, but 4k for am 27 inch, is a bit overkill, isn't it.
Yeah I think 2k @ 27 inch is perfect. If you do 4k, you end up need to turn on scaling anyways in the OS. But I mean I guess you just consider it a bonus at this price point?
I purchased the Dell S2725QS and I may be returning it. I'm attempting to use it with a Mac Mini M4. I've spent hours over a few days attempting to calibrate. Another day with tech support at Dell and Apple. Tried different cables. Colors are way off and too dark. Text is fine. I don't do gaming. This would probably be a good monitor for a PC. On Dell's website there is no driver support for OS compatibility.

I've been running dual 4K 27s for about 6 or so years. For the average person or gamer, complete overkill...but I'm a software engineer though who tends to work front-end and the readability of text at small sizes is amazing.

Similarly, I used a 24" 4k monitor for 6+ years. When that died, I went up to 27" 4k. I really did like the size of the 24" better but my eyes are happier with the 27" for sure.
Current setup is 27" 4k + 24" 2k portrait.
On the 27" I have 125% scale with 4 windows up all the time:
Outlook top left, about 1/4 of monitor height and 3/4 of monitor width, with Teams on the right 1/4 width
Edge bottom left, about 3/4 height and half width with Chrome on the right other half width
On the 24" I have 100% scale with 2 windows up all the time - Outlook (calendar) on top 1/3, Task Manager on bottom 1/4, I use the middle for RDP or other documents/windows I may need to work on.

What does RDP stand for? Do you use MS To do as your task manager?

Would a KVM Switch monitor help me?
I have two laptops, one for work and one for home.
currently, i use a caldigit dock to connect to my 3 monitors, 1 webcam, and jabra conference speaker/mic. my keyboard and mouse are connected via bluetooth.
is there a way i could utilize a monitor with kvm so that at least my main monitor has that in case i need to use both? Where would i plug in the webcam and speaker/mic too?
Sorry for the newb question but how would I setup dual monitors with these? Currently I'm using a Thinkpad X1 USB C (thunderbolt port) to displayport then daisy chaining another monitor via displayport to displayport. I'm assuming I would need to find a dock or hub?

I got the USB-C version and it is running 120hz flawlessly on MBP M4 via single USB-C cable. The colors are actually more vivid than my current 4k monitor. connecting to a RTX 50 PC using HDMI 2.1 cable also shows 120hz with HDR. Will run a few more days and see how it goes.

RDP = remote desktop protocol = connect to another computer remotely
The Task Manager I'm referring to shows the CPU, Memory, Disk, Network, GPU/NPU usage.
I do not use MS To Do. For some things, I use MS Tasks (through teams) that have checklists etc.

I have a similar setup at home - Primary monitor is connected to a KVM thats connected to a desktop and a laptop (through docking station). On work days, I click the KVM so the main monitor, KB & Mouse (and whatever peripherals through the KVM USB) are working with the laptop and on non-work days, I click the KVM so those devices are working on the desktop.
I will say that I run a dual-monitor setup but my KVM is single-monitor only - so I manually switch the second monitor to different inputs as needed. I think it's HDMI = laptop & DP = desktop.
There are KVMs now for multi-screen functions if you so desire - a single click selects all your peripherals to either go to one device (laptop) or the other (desktop).

Some monitors are capable of 'daisy chain' - not sure if this is.
Lenovo seems to have a dock[a.co]with a lot of ports and a cheaper travel dock[a.co] which has fewer ports.
Of course, there's a ton of cheaper docking stations[a.co]- but you'll likely want one with "power delivery" so it powers your laptop while connected. These cheaper docking stations do not have a power supply in the box so you'll have to provide your own - the charger that came with the laptop can act as that power supply.
There are "dongles" that just provide the ability to connect displays, but don't have the ability provide power to the laptop compared to those above.

I've had one for like a week and a half now, it's fantastic! I have a spyderx that I calibrated it with, but the colors are fantastic and it's incredibly sharp! I'd do 3 in a heartbeat if I had the cash to burn.

I do 2k @ 32 inch and it doesn't seem bad at all.
Current setup is 27" 4k + 24" 2k portrait.
