The universal truth: Everything is indeed bigger and cheaper in Texas, even Korean instant noodles. Sigh.

Is this better? https://www.amazon.com/NongShim-N...B0054TWQ36
They are two different products. The OPs noodles need to be boiled, yours are the instant type. Thinner noodles that are rehydrated with boiling water, or cooked in a microwave. Both have their place, but if you're at home, I will never choose the instant version. It's also less noodles.

Price is higher just for them to provide a disposable bowl. $1 each for the same product.
These are not the same but they each have their place. Love to take these when we go skiing. Great way to warm up with a hot bowl of spicy soup.

Isn't it cheaper at Costco or weeeee!?Walmart jacks up the prices on this
Don't think I've ever seen them this cheap at Costco. Current price is $20 for an 18 pk. I've bought them for $12 for an 18 pack at an Asian grocery store. This is a decent price, post Covid/Inflation.

Top tier instant ramen. Even better is the Nongshim Shin Black.
I didn't care for the Black. I grew up on these, so maybe I just don't like it because it's so different. My favorite brands are Samyang, or Jin.

I prefer the Shin Black. The Gourmet spicy is just a little too spicy for me.

It's good for both of us that there are options.

Yeah I had some high expectations based on the few YouTube videos that I've seen....
Honestly it's very mediocre. The flavor packet is just hot. It's all it is. There's no flavor besides the spicy feeling.

Great ramen. This makes it about $0.84 per pack vs $1.25 at Walmart.
They actually bring the spicy. I really like these for emergency desk rations. I keep some Augstson dehydrated fake beef (you really can't tell the difference) for a protein punch in this and it's a good option. Definitely healthier than a Big Mac and tons cheaper ($2 or so total)

Costco instore price is $16 for a 18 pack box, or 88.8 cents a pack. I bought a box last week.

Pro Tip: Cook these Al Dente (like pasta), meaning pretty firm for best taste, and not whole lot water. You will not like them if they are soggy and watered down with diluted soap.

Also crack a fresh egg on top when it's almost ready.

I agree. I hate the bowl version of every ramen I've tried. The noodles have no bite since they need to cook quicker/at a lower temperature.
