Every time I try "natural" peanut butter, it's always a greasy, oily, disgusting mess. I really don't like how a large amount of oil collects at the top, and you have to mix it—yuck.

However, I'll give it one more try since this deal is reasonably priced and from a name brand. Thanks, OP.

However, I'm expecting a large puddle of oil on top that I'll have to mix, resulting in less-than-desirable slimy texture that's far inferior to typical peanut butter. Looks like I vastly prefer the unholy, unnatural stuff

(1) this isn't peanut butter; it's "peanut butter spread". Means it has less than 90% peanut.
(2) the Jif natural peanut butter doesn't have the puddle of oil issue. Can't say for this product.

Ah, semantics; my old enemy has fooled me again! Thanks for enlightening me about the difference between genuine peanut butter and spread.

Sounds like this product is similar to Nutella, which is alarmingly and addictively delicious. I'm also glad none of that disgusting oil is involved, as with natural peanut butter. Mixing up that slimy sludge is easily one of the grossest, most unappetizing things I've ever encountered in a food jar Y*U*C*K*

This has 80% peanuts. It doesn't have the oil issue, and it's basically just like regular creamy Jif with a hint of honey.

I imagine you do not cook meat yourself regularly? Natural is not pretty. I don't mind the oils because that usually means the emulsifier additive has not been added…. Aoilis are delicious but they are a mix of various mayonnaise/butter products. Just because you don't see it prepared doesn't make it less gross in my opinion.

What? You basically said "I'd rather have 10% sugar/molasses/palm oil in my peanut butter vs 100% peanuts". To each their own, yet if the FDA won't legally allow a product to be called 'peanut butter' because of it's ingredients, that might be a sign. It legally has to be called peanut butter spread because it has other crap in it.

Bros, don't bust my peanuts over preference. To even suggest I'm not cognizant of the awesome natural horrors of cooking is an affront to The Great Noodle Himself. I'll have you know that I've Perceived Powerful Principalities of Pasta and mastered the Saucy Spiritual Secrets of Spaghetti, you oily dastards!

Seriously though, I really do find having an inch of oil on top of my peanut butter truly unappetizing. I've never had much success mixing the separated oil; it's always slimy and quite disgusting—a pale comparison to the smoothness and texture of the typical 'unnatural' variety.

The strange thing is, I don't recall having to be careful not to mistakenly purchase slimy, greasy natural peanut butter a decade ago. Peanut butter was just non-greasy, tasty, and simple. Now, oily horrors lurk on grocery shelves, waiting for unsuspecting victims...

Heart attack in a jar.
Stick with "ingredients: peanuts"
