FYI shoprites natural bowl and basket peanut butter usually runs 1.99 and i'm pretty sure ingredients are just peanuts

I bought this item in 2022 but never got to use it because it was recalled. Hopefully this one will be free of strange bacteria!

FYI last time I bought this I had a huge piece of string mixed in. Luckily I saw it. Either way threw the entire thing out.

"Natural" might be one of those claims for which there is no legal definition, but just a hunch.

Frankly I try and avoid products like this that adulterate my tasty sugar and palm oil with yucky peanuts as filler!

Palm oil can be natural too. 🙃 Didn't know it was in there (I just like the nice roasted flavor) but for what it's worth, the non-honey version is 90% peanuts, so I guess this one is 10% honey?

what's annoying is even some organic peanut butters have it too. lol. It does make it much better consistency and easy to stir, but i went back to just using santa cruz without it being the no stir one. But expensive.

I use santa crus organic. They have a no stir one, but that one has palm oil. Also they have light roasted and dark roasted, but I just get the dark roasted. it's expensive, though. Like 6-7 a jar at most places.

It was one of these sales a couple years ago for this same product where I lived out a nightmare of violent illness. I was sick for a month. And months later I get a message from Amazon warning me to throw out the peanut butter because jif had a big salmonella outbreak. I will never trust this brand again. That was a horrific month
