I tried hard to justify this, and watched many youtube videos. It just seems like as cool as it seems, it would be extremely impractical for most situations.

Not seeing a $1250 deal unless it was mentioned in comments or not shared on SD? There's a deal from Micro Center that was shared in December for $1275 but it's the first gen model I think.

So for multi tasking, can i run 3 sections of the screen from my work laptop, and the 4th be for gaming or the bottom half of the screen and then switch back to all 4 screen for work and flip back to 3/1 set up as if i had a HDMI splitter with a EDID?

Same thought! It looks amazing in a show room, not in my middle class living room.

RTINGS gave the monitor an 8.4/10 for Gaming saying

"The Samsung Odyssey Ark is impressive for gaming. It's great for 4k gaming thanks to its high resolution, and it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, so you can play games at high refresh rates. However, because it doesn't have a DisplayPort input, your graphics card must support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth to use the monitor fully. Other than that, it has low input lag for a responsive feel and a quick response time at high refresh rates, but there's more smearing at lower refresh rates."

This screen has 3 HDMI and 1 display port 1.4

yes and no. You would need to use multiple inputs to accomplish that feat, but it is possible. The downside comes in that the monitor will default to 60Hz when multiple inputs are used.

Ok thanks, so it would be possible to run a work laptop for DP 1 and have 3 sections be for work. Top half for 1 single spreadsheet, bottom right left corner for another application, and then HDMI 1 bottom left as game system or another laptop?

nah not a fan of ultrawides. 16:9, like the LG Flex 42 inch from 2022 but not $2500.

Make sure you have a sturdy desk. This weighs around 90 lbs.

What? Wasn't that 21:9? Honestly I hated the 21:9, but I like the 21:9 as there are never issues with games or anything on it.
