It might be a niche application, but this is about the best deal on a DIRAC pre/pro if you only need 9ch of processing. I got mine a good bit cheaper used locally, but had I not, I'd probably have jumped on this or the previous $579 price without much hesitation.

Some clarification:
This does include the same full bandwidth of Dirac Live the RZ50 has.
DLBC is available on the RZ50 but it also only has mono/parallel sub outs as this does.
Most people don't value DLBC anyways, not sure it's much of a benefit.

With the advent of A1EVO Dirac no longer has an advantage over Audyssey!!!
It's only cost you $20 & you don't even need to buy a new AVR!
You also don't lose sub correction/integration.

Is this a no brainer if I have been looking for a deal on the Denon AVR-X1800H?

I currently have a Yamaha TSR-700, but would like to utilize 2 more atmos speakers, however I do have a 3D TV and 3D 4K player but am not able to determine if this supports 3D or not, does anyone know?

The RZ50 would be better but not enough to pay much more.

That's a very entry level speaker package.
I wouldn't spend $1700 on that.

The quality of your speakers makes the biggest difference in sound quality.
I would spend most of that budget on better speakers.

If you like Klipsch and on a budget, go with their RP line.
I would also skip Atmos for now especially those built in modules.

It depends but for the cost most likely.
Here is a comparison.

Unless you need the extra two channels, this is probably the better deal imo.
Here is a comparison of the two.

Thanks. Do you have any recommendations for a big open loft room? I am just getting started and do not have any brand preference, may be SVS, etc.?
