This grater isn't very good. The grate don't work as well as my OXO grater. The container sounds like a better idea than it is. Mine doesn't fit under my grater well. I imagine I ran it through the dishwasher and that affected fit. Second the flecks of cheese that do not fall in the container still make a slight mess. I usually do it over a cutting board and that defeats the purpose to me.

I also have this grater and it's just okay. Agree with the other commenter that it is still messy even with the container. Mine fits fine though. It's also much bigger than I realized when I ordered it, so check the dimensions if space is a concern for you.

Gorilla has a grater that seems to be better quality, and has the same type of storage containers, for the same price. I'd go with that over this Kitchenaid model.

Now if only half the stuff I grated actually stayed on the inside of the grater and didn't fly all over the counter (looking at you, carrots!).

So pretty much everyone says the same thing. You can get this at TJ Maxx for about $7 but somehow this is frontpage at $14?

I get that SD had to fill the pages with stuff, but c'mon at least post a good sale. This is a rip off.
