I went to the store today to add a line and upgrade my second phone. While I was there, the rep asked me how I liked my first phone, an S25, that I had mentioned upgrading to a couple days ago. I told him it was good, but i wished the screen was bigger. He brought up that I could upgrade to the S25+ and get a credit on top of it. I walked away with a new S25 (that I went in there for) and also an S25+ ! Be nice to the guys at Spectrum and sometimes they'll go out of their way to help.

I keep getting flagged for fraud in store and no one seems to know why. I tried different stores but no cigar. Will have to try the online route as I just want to do one s25 -> s25+ -> ultra. I called both customer care and fraud dept and they're just as confused as I am, with no flags for fraud anywhere in their systems for me.
One guy in front of me did the TracFone all the way to the ultra in one swoop and the agent was miffed.

I just wanted to say a big thanks to the people of Slickdeals! I snagged an S25 with 256GB by ordering online and trading in. I was a bit worried with all the talking about how the terms and conditions were different this year, but after some of you were able to trade in store, I bit the bullet. I sent in my phone via UPS and about a week later, I got the email.

Good news! We've received your device and inspected it. You'll be receiving a Trade-In Credit of $10.00 for your device. In addition to your Trade-In amount, you also qualify for the Trade-In Promotion, which brings your total to $710.00.

What's next?

You'll receive your Trade-In Credit. If you financed your new device, your credit will be applied evenly over the remaining installments of your device payment plan.* If you paid for your new device in full, the total credit for the confirmed value of your trade in, including any applicable promotions, will be applied in the next two billing cycles. If you don't receive your trade-in refund/credit within two billing cycles, give us a call at 1-833-224-6603. Have your offer number available.

This was a great deal! I think some of the nay-sayers were a bit too adamant about if the refund would be at once or in installments, but with the evidence others were presenting, I figured it was worth the shot. Hopefully those nay-sayers are humbled a little.

I guess some stores don't really care. The stores around me are really strict on limit. They looked at historical transactions and deny to do trade in.

That seems to be it according to the agent. Guy walked in with Walmart bag with I can only assume is a TracFone, walked out with s25 ultra

As some others have said it seems to be dependent on the agent. I ordered online tonight and will try to trade in once that comes in with the same agent that was nice enough to me

Not a issue. Did this last year and unlocked it after 60 days and flashed it with Verizon firmware and have been issuing the past year.
