Is it worth the $250 extra for the recent M4 pro deal? Still under return period and wondering if I should get this instead?

Id say yes, Return and get a newer one. But only if you can return. The new one keeps floating around 1800, cheapest i saw was 1750.

I tried to sell mine on FBM but had no luck. Luckily, i bought this machine in August when it was the same price, then got 15% cash back because i signed up for the Best Buy card.

M4 (non-pro) base model or this M3 Pro?
General use, light 4k editing, and moderate music production.

Sorry I should have mentioned that I bought the newer one for $1799 with higher memory and M4 pro. Should I return that and get a M3 pro?

No…. unless you just want some money back. The M4 Pro is significantly better than the M3 Pro in the MacBook Pro 14"

Only if the front facing camera is worth it.

Only if you want $250. They are both fantastic, personally I'd stick with the m4 pro it will have more legs for longer. But 250 isn't much over the lifespan of the machine.

M3 pro since you get mini led backlit, more ports, more monitor support and more cores than base-m chips

I think that the M4 Pro for the extra $250 is worthwhile. The M4 Pro is widely viewed as a major step up from M3 Pro. Some other modest enhancements as well, like battery and webcam improvements. But the new chip alone makes it compelling for the $250 + tax.
