I used to 100% open world games and start new games on the most difficult settings. As I've grown I don't have time to repeatedly slam my head into a wall to progress in a game or run around for an extra 10 hours chasing collectables. When you're younger you have all the time in the world and very little money for games. Then you get older with plenty of money and no room for time-sink games. Not that that's what this is, just most open worlds don't respect the players time. I'll take a curated experience over an 50 hour epic.
LOL. Or, maybe, as people get older and gain responsibilities and life experiences, they recognize the value of prioritizing real world experiences and family time over video games. I love playing games, but I have only a few hours per month to do it. As far as wonder, I find much more in the world around me than in pixels on a screen.

Ragnarok's main game is beautiful albeit a bit bloated, but please, please play the post-game Valhalla DLC (free). It's tremendously enjoyable and revisits moments from the original Greek trilogy.

Maybe I'll replay it for the dlc. I enjoyed the GOW 2018 experience more.

I didn't care for the open world feel. I liked when it was more linear.

You don't have to even beat the game to play the DLC, you can just play it right off the get go.

Good to know about free DLC.

Recently finished GOW and was waiting on a sale. Good timing!

I can emphasize…as I've gotten older. It's been trickier to find time to play games. So I'd rather know where to go…although there are hints and main objective to follow.

Hope it's not open world like Breath of the Wild or similar. But if similar to previous GOW…then I should be fine.

GOW Ragnarok is probably one of the best games ever made. It's not open world like GTA.
