Any thoughts on the single handed reciprocating saw vs the 2handed one?
I can't speak to the 2 handed one, but I can tell you the 1 handed one is fantastic for pruning trees and smaller jobs like cutting roots out of the ground when digging. I think for larger jobs and demo you'd want the 2 handed one for the ergonomics and likely increase in power. The 1 handed doesn't lack for power, though. I've trimmed down and cut up many larger branches with a large pruning blade with zero issue prior to picking up the chainsaw last year. That's a whole other league, though, and I can't recommend that tool enough if you have a purpose for it.
So I guess the answer really comes down to what your use case scenario is for the tool. If doing demo type work, I'd get the 2 handed. If you're doing a little demo but more outdoor use where mobility and weight are a factor, get the 1 handed. The 1 handed works perfectly well with a 2ah battery as well, which increases mobility even further.

If you're just using it at home, get the one-handed. I have 5 reciprocating saws, but now that I am semi retired, I reach for the one hand Milwakee M18 Fuel Hackzall first for around the house. I don't have the 1 handed Kobalt, but I do have the larger 2-handed one, and it impressed me. Based on the comment above, I am betting the one-handed Kobalt is good too.
