Got a bad batch of these before. Every bag was very runny and had tiny beans. Their quality has gone down. Tried contacting their support after sending pictures and they said they would ship me new ones but never did.
Got the chana masala .The chemical taste is overbearing
A little bit of lentils with your sodium, sir? We like to keep some easy prep stuff around to feed the baby when we don't have time to cook from scratch but it's hard with the sodium in a lot of these items

I haven't opened the ones I got a few weeks ago but the bags did feel like there was nothing solid inside.

I just assumed they were supposed to be like soup. I still like them. 🤷🏼 ♀️

Ha, eating this as I type. Love these for those mornings where you don't have time to pack a decent lunch while at work.

Also use these on hotdogs and in burritos. Yum.

Oddly, just last night, I came across one that fell to the back of my cabinet that I bought 5 years ago and expired in 2020. I made the mistake of opening it up, just out of curiosity, it was the most foul food smell (like spoiled milk) I've ever encountered. I never realized something like this could go so bad, but I see that it does have milk in the ingredients, so it makes sense. I don't have qualms about eating expired food in general, but clearly this one was way out of date and I wouldn't even eat this one day after expiration after that experience.

Wow, that's interesting. I'll have to keep an eye on the expiration date when the 6-pack arrives. Good to know about how badly it spoils.

Yeah these use to have a thicker consistency and larger beans, almost felt like eating chili. Probably a result of shrinkflation with current batches.

Just like you, I just ate a leftover package of these a couple weeks ago, Served over rice, too. It had an Aug 2019 date. Tasted perfectly fine to me. Kind of wished I had some more. Maybe 2019 was better vintage than the 2020? Also, mine wasn't Organic so maybe it had better preservatives.

Aren't lentils tiny to begin with? I've cooked raw lentils once or twice and don't recall them expanding much either.
