You guys have cool use use cases, I just use mine for the boring use case of in every single deep freeze, freezer and fridge. But man has it saved a whole fridge full of food from spoiling when someone (not me!) left it open in the garage.
It will chew through batteries though in the deep freeze, but it still lasts like a year plus. Haven't tracked it super detailed but at least that long. Maybe Il'l check my HomeAssistant battery graphs.
The sensor itself is currently $22 with a 10% off coupon, so if you don't need a hub, it's basically the same price without the extra e-waste.

There is a home assistant integration, though I haven't used it. If you are already using zigbee on HA though you can get temp sensors for $10 or so

if you want a real weatherstation for these kind of prices, search for "ecowitt" who makes the sensors for everyone else

they also have black friday sales

Where does it say this is a water leak hub? I don't see that anywhere.
Once you get one hub ..yo link has many different sensors that can to hub which then shows in yo link app.
I have water sensors , temp monitors , power monitor . I see in my app. I have actually have 1 hub on each floor . Some items placed to far behind thick metal or brick walls might not reach your main hub far away..
great preventative sensors to have .

The hub connects to your Wi-Fi and uses a separate 923Mhz wireless frequency to talk to the sensors. The lower frequency means longer range and better signal through solid materials like walls and freezer doors. I paid $50 for this kit a few months ago, so $40 is a good deal.

Got it. Thanks. I placed an order. In future, I would add more capabilities

Yoponk is great but their pricing deals are always with hubs. We need some individual sensor deals.

I do have zigbee network but would like something I can put inside the freezer and work great! What do you recommend?

I don't use any temp sensors yet but as I understand it Aqara (avail on AliExpress) and third reality seem recommended

Warning: Yolink's services go through a server in China. If they ever decide to shut off the server, or if they go out of business, all your hardware becomes useless.

They have been claiming for years they would provide Local support that doesn't require sending requests to their server in China, but have never delivered.

* Its a shame, because otherwise their hardware is good. The use of Lora allows for incredibly long range. The 100% reliance on their cloud server is a deal-breaker however.

I understand all of that. The original post said that this combo came with a water sensor hub, which has a speaker and siren alarm on it. This does not as far as anyone can tell, so that was a misleading statement made by the OP.

Does anyone know how accurate it is? I bought a different brand and the temperature is off by 5 degrees or less.

Does it work locally with HA or through the cloud?
