For anyone curious, the P1S+AMS combo is $50 cheaper than "normal." I paid $849 at the end of August and this would total $798 for the same.
I just bought an a1 combo last night and saw this this morning. Luckily they honor price adjustments if you receive your order after October 5.

also, see: https://us.store.bambulab.com/pag...ns?skr=yes which details actual prices.

X1 series:
X1C Combo $1199 ($250 discount)
X1C $999 ($200 discount)

P1 series:
P1S Combo $749 ($100 discount)
P1S $549 ($50 discount)
P1P $449 ($50 discount)

Limited Offer for all P1 series:
Mystery Maker's Supply Box
OR Mystery Filament Box (valued at up to $57)

A1 Series:
A1 mini/Combo no discount
A1 Combo $449 ($40 discount)
A1$299 ($40 discount)

For all A1 series:
Mystery Maker's Supply Box (valued at up to $27)

Automatic Material System:
AMS $249 ($100 discount)
AMS lite $199 ($50 discount)

For all AMS:
Extra 10% off for purchases of more than one unit

Edit: formatting
Honestly it sounds like you can't go wrong with Bambu printers, probably just get the most expensive one in your budget. I have several other older 3D printers and just ordered an A1 (no hands on experience yet, but highly recommend from a friend). If this is your first the A1 mini should be a good entry point if you're cost sensitive, but you'll likely outgrow it quickly and want a larger print area. If you can afford it the A1 combo which has a bigger print area and comes with the AMS lite to print multiple types/colors of filament should be something you can keep around for a long time even if you eventually want to upgrade. The key benefit of the P1S or X1C over A1 are that they are enclosed so you can print more exotic materials, but 99% of what most people print is PLA or PETG which the A1 or A1 mini excel at.

For those considering the A1 Mini or even the A1 I would suggest looking at the current deal on the Flashforge 5M for $240
https://dealquestnow.online/f/17824917-flashforge-adventurer-5m-3d-printer-ebay-239-20
The 5M's print area is between the two Bambu printers (180^2 vs 220^2 vs 256^2). It's a Core XY printer which is helpful in cases where the Y axis shaking of a typical bed slinger would cause delicate prints to fail. The 5M is fully network capable (wired and wireless via Klipper). I believe it's faster than the Bambu printers though any speed difference is going to be small. The FF 5M does have a nice ability to grow as the company provides parts and files to print/build an enclosure for the machine.

The workflow isn't as smooth as Bambu's if you want to create an account with Bambu. If you don't like sharing your data with yet another company then both companies support the more traditional work flow where you download/create the files, slice them locally and then either thumbdrive or network to the printer. Note that the 5M's network printing was originally limited to the easy to use but limited feature Flashforge slicer. However, after launch then updated the Ocra Slicer profile to include full network support. Thus, as far as slicers are concerned both Bambu and FF are using slicers based on Prusa/Orca slicer. If you want to thumbdrive it, the FF 5M does it via USB vs SD card. A down side to the 5M is it does not have a multi-material unit.

So if you are in the $200-300 price range I think the 5M is a printer that both nicely splits the difference between the A1 Mini and A1 while also providing some outright advantages over the A1.

You should have stayed a bit longer the MK4/s is crazy good and fast
But the Bambu labs printer is too? And he probably has had that since way before the s variant of the mk4 came out.

No reason to wait, The Prusa XL is superior in every way.
Except pricing.... 700$ for an enclosure? Nearly $4000 if you want all 5 toolheads? Prusa has priced themselves out of the game, imo.

Thank goodness micro center will match within 30 days of purchase

Yeeeeee
Yeah. But my microcenter doesn't sell individual ams units. I plan to pick up 2 or 3 of them. The additional 10% is helpful.

I do recommend the hub to connect them all. It comes with a longer cable that I'll need. And unlike third party solutions this one should work out of the box. My best guess is it will be on sale for 35.

My first printer was a flashforge. Tons of issues and no possible way to resolve them. I recently got the A1 and it's gotten more use in 1 month than two years of my flashforge. Just get an A1, the savings a different printer offers is not worth it if it's annoying AF to use

Just in time! I got into 3D printing years ago when Microcenter had the Ender 3 for $100. I've spent those years upgrading and tinkering to get good prints. About a month ago I saw SD had some deals on newer Enders so it got me thinking about a new printer for my birthday.

After weeks of research I have been blown away by the advances in technology and the 4 color capabilities of the A1. I was first looking at the Kobra but Bambu really looks to be worth the few extra dollars.

I'll be heading to Microcenter soon. Happy Birthday to me!

ps. What accessories should I add? was thinking about a smooth build plate & a .2 print head. Also, does Microcenter carry Bambu accessories?

How are you storing the units? Since they are rounded, it seems like a pain in the ass to store them. If the cover wasn't flat, maybe you could stack them.

I heard that these "phone home" constantly and won't work without an internet connection. Any veracity to that, or did I misunderstand? Also, dies anyone know what the memory is like in terms of storing the models printed? Can it be cleared?
I had the same concern when I was researching these. I think that was the case at first, but it seems that since launch they have added a "LAN mode" where the printer connects to your local network but does not connect to their cloud. You can slice your model in orca (open source, not controlled by Bambu) and send the file over your network. You can also do it the very old fashioned way of shuttling the sd card from your computer to printer. If you still want to monitor it remotely I think it's a bit trickier, but it does sound like you can run this completely offline without issues.

As for memory I think they come with 32 gb cards which you can upgrade up to something crazy like 2 tb if you want

I have the A1 with AMS lite. I got the AMS lite with the combo so I'd save $100. I'm up in the air on the value. I don't do many multi color prints but to be able to load up multiple spools of the same color is incredibly useful.

I'm happy so far with the .4 head.

Buy the printer and some filament. You can get it from Amazon, most brands are good. If the diameter of the spool is different, there are adapters you can print for them, but you wouldn't need those without the AMS lite.
Thanks--that's helpful (and kind of what I'm thinking). Not sure I'd use much multicolor, and for the additional cost, I'm not sure it'd be useful.

Plus, I think the price of 3D will continue to fall, and in a few years(?) it'll probably be better to just upgrade completely...

I think the A1 combo is tough to beat. Not seeing a ton of advantage to P1S and frankly some disadvantages such as the screen.

This is exactly me. Just picked up the A1 combo and it's impressive. I don't think you need anything outside of what's in the box to get started.

If you are new to 3D printing this probably wont matter but if you have experience this is worth a read to avoid a disappointing purchase.

I would say no. Basically you get a better camera, aluminum instead of plastic case, better/bigger/touch screen, lidar that people say is buggy, and first layer failure detection that doesn't seem amazing either. It also has hardened nozel and gears, and a hotter bed, but you can put the nozel/gears on a P1S for cheap, and you can put a resistor on the P1S to get the bed temp higher if needed (only for more exotic $$ materials). If you are like 99% of people you probably just need the A1 honestly. P1S and X1C just add more materials you can print, but most things you see people print are with materials the A1 does.

Then get your wallet ready. The upcoming printer is going to be probably $4-7k.

Like I said above you can modify your P1S to print everything the X1C can for pretty cheap, they really are a great deal. Picking up the P1S combo when this sale starts too!
Any good places to look into for that info?
