There is a mini Amazon prime day coming October 8-9. I would look for a further discount then

A very good RC that supports integration of up to 4 subs independently out of the box!
You would have to pay another $300 with the other brands with Dirac Live to get that and even then you only get 2 independent sub outs!
Hopefully it does come back, if so keep in mind it was a very brief sale so be ready!

Per Dirac(not me) THEIR subwoofer integration/correction is all within DLBC.
Dirac Live(nor DLBM) contain any of it.
So whether 1-4 subwoofers to get THEIR subwoofer integration/correction you need to purchase it for $299, that's if you get the option.
I would think with your pedigree you understand how crucial & challenging it is in harmonizing a subwoofer within an environment and then harmonzing to the rest of your speakers is.
You throw in a 2nd or more subwoofers into that scenario, it's exponentially more complicated imo.

What I meant to say is that the reality of people using more than 2 subs in a typical home environment is rare, not to mention 3-4+ subwoofers.
Of all my family and friends most only have a sound bar.. if that. The other member that has a theater is only running a single sub. I know, small sample size but I digress...

I'm also not debating what's "necessary", just pointing out how Audyssey and Dirac handle their RCs.
Dirac is pretty much the only RC that separates them.
If anyone is telling us what's necessary would be you.
Rare! you might want to go over to AVS and see how rare.
Whether it's necessary, again I'm not debating that.

These are your words: "

We all know how many sub outs these receivers have, and plenty of people are happy with 2 sub outs...
And yes I DO THINK IT IS NECESSARY to calibrate your subs via rc, whether it's dirac/audyssey/ypao/mcacc/accueq/Logic/minidsp who gives a shxx... unless you like listening to peaky boomy subs, but that's just me...

Hmmm since you did...let's see!
If "95% of buyers are running 1 or 2 subs" and "IT IS NECESSARY to calibrate your subs via rcs"!
Should all these 95% give a "shxx" how it's done!
I don't know about you but just in here it's a resounding YES, people are always debating that!!!!
Is it important to know whether the two sub outs are parallel or independent to properly integrate/calibrate so you don't have "peaky boomy subs"?
Again that would be a resounding yes but that's just me.....
Let's not forget how subjective all this is.
Just ask all those family & friends of yours with soundbars on how great the performance is on it especially on the subwoofer end of it!

Answer: No, let people decide what they want.. its subjective after all. I still stand by the notion that most people running a receiver set up are only running 1 to 2 subs.

Answer: In here? Where? no one debating any of this nerdy RC crap 🤣

Answer: If the receiver can only do 2 independent outputs, that is all it's capable of. Period. But you go ahead and believe whatever you want.
Let's not forget how subjective all this is.
Just ask all those family & friends of yours with soundbars on how great the performance is on it especially on the subwoofer end of it!
Answer: they think it's awesome or they could care less, agreed.
Back to my original point... Most people are not running more than 2 subwoofers in their entertainment areas. But if they are, this and the x3800h are great options.
If 4 subs where more common then you'd see that feature on entry AVRs...
Should all these 95% give a "shxx" how it's done!

The information I provide covered very common questions and important to know when deciding.
Come to find out you understood the relevance of that information all along.
So back to your original point, what was the relevance?
For me looks like it was more about telling us your notion what 95% of people do.
Apparently this notion is based on friends & family that believe a soundbar is awesome!🤣
If they didn't care they wouldn't have paid that much for one!

I'm one of the 3800 owners with "only" one SW for which he continually makes fun of me because I didn't purchase DLBC. What normal SD member (w/no agenda) would do that to another SD member?!!!

Well so much for "here? Where? no one debating any of this nerdy RC crap" 😜
Hey Jonathan ask CT here why DLBC has $0 value with one subwoofer, maybe he'll give you some type of answer/proof!
He keeps claiming DLBM offers some magical part of DLBC that Dirac clearly says it doesn't! 🤪
He keeps bringing this up over and over again without any proof and that Dirac(not me) is incorrect!
That's not me making fun of him, that's complete self infliction! 🤪

I'm going to wait for prime days to see if it gets closer to that nice $1300 price, but having never owned a demon avr, what's their support / longevity like?
I had a bad experience with my marantz nr1504. I think they're the same company, but no matter what source device / resolution I use, I can't get video out to my nebula 4k projector, and I can't try firmware updates via network connection or download to usb stick. Marantz support policy is get stuffed.
