I know these are in different price categories, but I think the RZ50 is worth considering. I had been running a Costco Special Denon for the last few years and wanted to add more channels, but didn't want to pay > 500 just to add two more channels. The RZ50's 11 channel processing and amp preouts gives enough flexibility that it might be an endgame amp. It also has Direct Live, no fee, which people say is grrrreat.
I had been hesitating hard on getting an amp because of the pricing for these higher end amps, but if you can get one for 900 or less, I'd say its a no-brainer.
Also check out the Andrew Robinson review for more deets. He really seems to like it was was comparing it to Nortel and NAD; both of which I consider too rich for my blood.
