I just got mine.. these arent easy to charge in an outtage.. 6kw is a lot to ask of their solar panels in a snow storm and it isnt compatible via dc charging with their smart generators and it isnt compatible with their car altenator charger either.
I got the home depot deal but im second guessing if I should have done eg4 inverter with their batteries for less in the long run since you dont need a smart panel.
Anyway, i ordered an aliexpress 12 to 48v inverter hoping to use my 70kw car battery to keep this topped off but only at 700watts (low voltage solar input limit at 48v). Im still looking for the right generator.
I also ordered a refurbished second battery off their eBay store. They were $1,800 the other day.

You don't need a Smart Home Panel 2, in fact I would recommend against using one both due to total cost and failure risk. Use a normal Transfer Switch with the Ecoflow 50a Hub (cheapest I found was $250). Or if you only need 30a just output straight from the inverter.
I have 12kWh batteries and can fully charge them most days with only 5 x 400w solar panels which is not a large array at all. That was my main power source after Hurricane Beryl for 4 days. That included running a fridge and window AC.
RackUpGo have new batteries for $2100 with no sales tax and free shipping, when you factor in Fed rebate that's only a $200 difference between new and used.

they do have a EV charger cable so you can charge using your EV charger (I think it uses a CCS plug?)
Fair warning: I tried charging/testing one of the DPU with one battery via a garage extension cord reel. Whoops. It burned out the garage cord reel somewhere inside the reel. Should have heeded the instructions to plug directly into a wall outlet (didn't see that till later).
I was one of the lucky ones on the HD deal, and scored 3 units. Using two inverters and 3 batteries, going to sell the 3rd inverter to recoup some cost. Combine with the 50A hub, and into a transfer switch with interlock.
Some of the orders got shipping recall orders after shipping I believe, which implies it was a mistake.
Either way, those who got theirs, lucky stiffs! That was an excellent price.
i've read one note on facebook about the item being sold out for someone. evidently he ordered when stock just hit zero. i read people mentioning a shipping recall, but i read of no one specifically saying it for themselves. i got mine likely because i ordered with about 60 left.
