$1439 with Military discount. I chatted to ask why EPP (which I also qualify for) so much lower than Military. They apologized and threw in two years of Samsung Care+ plan and an additional 10% discount.

After brutal CA sales tax and fees, $1,117.31 out the door for me.

I know new model is out, but I bought 75" version of this model earlier this year as a gift and it was beyond my requirements. Maybe my eyes are just too damn old to care about 8K. Especially since I have virtually no access to 8K content.

My 2 cents..4k, 8k, etc I feel is all pretty much gimmick in practical terms. When you are sitting at a normal viewing distance from the TV there is no way you can individually define those pixels, BUT if the quality of the video is bad that's something you will be able to tell. You can watch a high quality 1080p content on a 1080p TV and 4/8k content on 4/8k TV, and they all will be difficult to differentiate, especially between 4 and 8k. After a certain amount of pixels, there's diminishing returns in practical terms. I feel like 4k is the sweet spot.

Lol pretty much same. The only thing I notice with OLED is when there is pure black displayed on the screen, which, in most content, is usually just the bottom and top bars in films or blacks in graphical content, and the low brightness problem that all OLED have. I tried a few and returned them. The price difference was no way worth it, and there is also the burn-in issue and degrading issue..no thanks. Even if it's cheaper than LEDs I wouldn't get it at this technology stage. Mini led: I have definitely noticed better blacks with the local dimming zones so that's kind of the best of both worlds right now. I think mini leds are similar to qled but with a lot more individual dimming zones so it's definitely an improvement. I find that at the end of the day, i can enjoy a good show/movie pretty much the same regardless of all these "features"

The QN90C has HDMI issues that Samsung never addressed. So buyer beware

I have a Samsung 8k and while I personally love it, I wouldn't recommend 8k for almost any use cases. Gaming is better at 4k 120hz and the only 8k content is YouTube. I've compared Milkdrop at 8k and 4k and you can't see a difference until you're maybe four feet from the screen (and 4k 120hz is WAY cooler with a visualizer anyway).

Maybe a photo editor could benefit from an 8k OLED running a Mac Studio? That'd be cool to see.

Not sure which issues you're referring to, but the 1410 update did fix some issues with Samsung soundbars using eArc.

may I ask how you snagged it for 1050? It shows 1350 on edu store and I can get 10% further discount through chat but that's it.
