This stuff is good, but if you don't need crema, this one is better tasting and cheaper...

Yes, not the greatest espresso in the world, but still pretty good. And the deal you found is even better, and probably makes that the best value out there for espresso right now. Incredibly cheap.

Just be mindful that you are getting a really big bag of coffee (2.2 lbs) with this deal, and that will last a long time if you are making coffee for just one or two people. In that case you need to be storing most or all of the coffee in a container that is not only airtight, but also airless. Otherwise the coffee will gradually become stale, and the taste will deteriorate over time.

That describes my situation. Typically took me 6 weeks to go through a bag this big. Did some research and bought the large Airscape canister, which held the entire 2.2lb bag of beans. The first week or so of coffee tasted good, but still deteriorated gradually after that, in spite of the "air displacement" design of the canister. From what I can understand, the daily opening of the canister exposes the beans to fresh oxygen, which continues the staling process.

What I am experimenting with now is making 200g portions of beans in ziploc bags and freezing them. When I need more beans I take a bag out of the freezer and put it into the Airscape to defrost overnight. So far it has maintained the fresh taste for at least half of the 200g bag, then it's just ok after that. The coffee rabbit-hole never ends lol.
