You don't impale it, when you run it on the hottest cycle it melts the wax and releases the liquid. I use one every season.

did single order instead of S&S, had a message in cart switch to S&S and save 30% today. got another $1.22 off plus $0.24 off for S&S discount.

Run sanitize cycle, where it gets extra hot. Our newly purchased Bosch even shows this product in it's instructions to use every few months. It creates a somewhat unpleasant lingering smell though, so I will be trying a different brand.

They seem to have amped up the scent quite a bit recently. Not a good plan if you have anyone with Asthma in your house.

These you peel off the sticker on top to reveal a hard wax plug. Then flip it upside down and slide one of your dishwasher's upright metal prongs into the plug so the cleaner is "impaled" on it. Then run high temp cycle with nothing else inside the dishwasher.

They have been working great for us - usually run one every few months or so.

I used two of these back to back and it cleaned 10 years of crap out of my Dish Drawer and now it works like it's brand new. I use these twice a year and it keeps that thing trucking.
