Naming a hunting knife "Border Guard" made it political. S&W knows exactly who their primary customers are.
Hello, you're absolutely right, plenty of law enforcement utilize s&w products as part of their standard issue gear, so it makes sense that they would offer a knife named after a particular law enforcement group for marketing purposes.
Not saying they use this for SI, but you seem to be intelligent enough to understand what I'm saying. Law enforcement are the ones that protect the community you live in as well, so next time you see one, be sure to thank them for their service. Have a great day!
Edit: lots of triggered boys & girls given the thumbs down... you best not be calling the police when you need them, just the social workers 😂

Smith & Wesson do not make knives. They cashed out on their brand name by selling it to another company (Taylor Cutlery), who outsources to China for cheap steel and labor. These knives are absolute junk.
I say this as the proud owner of a beautiful 629. S&W guns have literally nothing to do with S&W knives. These belong on the clearance shelf at Walmart for when you realize you forgot a knife for a fishing trip.
Amazon Product Information indicates model was introduced in 2018
Actually that is very true. I think I have actually owned one for that amount of time until I had to leave it in South American because I knew the airport 'Border Guards' (actually TSA) weren't going to be happy with me taking in my carry-on bag once I returned back to the US.
Always thought the knife's name was a little cringe but it was slim, had a strap cutter, glass breaker, and the fact I can barely keep a knife sharp as much as I abuse them the aggressive serrations were super handy. I think I only paid $8 for my old one, not sure I would spend $16 on another though

Agreed, absolute junk knives and products, their firearms are top notch, everything else is licensed chi-com garbage.
So this is a special knife that is specifically made for border guards to tackle those specific border guard responsibilities that no other knife will satisfy? Or is it just named that for LARPers?
