I'm 3 years in. I put them in the dishwasher and don't really bother with drying them well. No rust.

I've got a few pairs of the 16" version that I bought for $2.19 in 2021. They are heavy duty and grab well. It sucks they don't have a locking mechanism, but at this price they are tough to beat. Winco is an excellent quality budget restaurant brand. I've also got cutting boards, bar mats, oyster knives, utility brushes, and other utensils from them. They have all been very inexpensive and good quality.

If you can get together enough items to make shipping make sense, I'd skip these and just order these from Katom:

The real test is how long the spring inside will resist rusting because that area will be hard to dry after washing. I had one from another brand that rusted and collapsed in a year. Since then I've been using the ones that don't have a spring.

Or just buy 11 Winco one and open a new one every two years. Hell, might even open TWO at a time if I am feeling naughty LMAO

This is how I use this. In the winter we go ice fishing in the upper midwest.

I use these to grab fish lol vs hands to reduce water on hands as much as possible since it's so god damn cold here! (except this year is odd and warm)

Got 2!
