I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.

Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

So update, the returned Moto G Play that was denied from Assurant and had a locked screen. I inserted the $1 sim from the Tracphone sim kit that I bought from Target. It unlocked the screen again and let me skip through the set up. Walked into the Spectrum store, and was able to trade it in no problem and walked out with the S24. So for now I am just out of the activation fee, restocking fee, I think the first month of phone line, hopefully. I am still waiting on the return refund to appear. So definitely learned my lesson but mitigated my losses the best I could.

Hi, if I ask for a return, will they cancel the phone line and trade in assessment? My tradein moto g play phone just arrived their location. Looks like they will reject it since no sim card inside 😔. If I initiate the return, will they stop the assessment and return the phone?

Has anyone started a new online trade-in while one trade-in was in the evaluation process? I have S24 and want to upgrade to S24+ before the 28th. My current trade in phone just arrived at Assurant and wouldn't complete evaluation until the 27th. I want to do trade-in online only. I am thinking of doing a new trade-in it regardless while I am waiting for the credit of the previous one. Thanks

I don't think you need to have the SIM card in the trade-in phone. You just need to reset everything so that Assurant can look up t he IMEI number

I hope they could. But the straight talk Moto g play will not allow them to start the system without the sim card. It will ask you to insert the sim card to set up the phone and then show the locked carrier page. I think that's why moto g plays are rejected.

I just got mine back from assurant, same thing. I purchased a $1 sim kit from tracphon le from Target, going to see if I will unlock it without a phone plan and if it does, Goin got instore to trade it back in. Let me know how your instore trade in goes.
In-store trade-in went smoothly, but I was told the phone would be sent to Assurant for inspection. The rep removed the SIM card, and if Assurant inspects the phone again, it won't go through the setup screen. I am wondering if this is 100% safe.

I think the Spectrum employees are confused. They are the ones who are suppose to be deciding if a trade in is acceptable or not for in store. My understanding is that if Assurant rejects a trade in that was accepted in store then it just impacts Spectrum and not the customer. Unless there is a brand new policy, I am sure we would have heard from many people if Spectrum was trying to claw back trade in credits that were already issued in store.

I e-mailed them Monday at 6pm and got a response the response below at 10am on Tuesday.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for contacting us. I have sent an inquiry to my warehouse management team to see if we can have the device located. Once they contact me with their findings, I will be sure to reach out to you as soon as possible.
I ended up receiving a similar generic response. Now have to decide what to do.

check you receipt and make sure they have not put you in device payment plan....else the credit is instant.

yep, same size, memory as ultra. i really like the plus. now it is harder to decide which one to keep.........
I got the S24+ but now I wish I got the Ultra. The S pen is surprisingly useful because I take a lot of notes and it's way easier to write foreign languages than using just my finger. Also, you can put your phone across the room and click the pen to take pictures, record video, etc. Is it worth an extra $300? Normally, I'd say no but given the good trade-in "discount", it makes it somewhat more palatable.

I went from s24 to s24+ to S24U and spent about total of $400ish from 2xA71 to 2xS24 to 1xs24+ & 1S24U and no regrets!!
love S24U so far especially it's now flat screen.

Don't all the S24 models have flat screens?
