I'm not denying what you are saying but why even produce a product like this if it isn't impact rated?

Will this set be good for someone who just needs a set for working on computers and occasionally tightening a loose hinge or doorknob around the house?

Ive been using non-impact rated bits for years and have not seen them fail. So yes impact rated is overrated

You're probably better off with the megapro screwdriver for $40. It'll have all of the typical heads you'll need for your around-the-house work and computers. It's rated just as well as the LLT.

with impact drivers? Not being sarcastic, curious if non impacts for the most part work ok with impact drivers. assuming light use would probably be fine I guess?

I have sheared a bunch of old "non impact" rated bits I collected over the years with my 887. It depends on the materials and what you are driving.
The other consideration, is most non impact bits are made from a harder material. When they fail they snap aggressively. They also destroy screws when they cam out.
Conversely, "impact rated" bits usually are made from a softer material, and tend to round off instead of snapping, and will sacrifice the bit a little more to not entirely destroy screws on cam out.
