Unless they changed things since I played this game years ago, it's not very good. The game starts off with a couple of tutorial like story missions, but then the rest of the game just turns into small procedurally generated "floating islands." The main goal is to just find special lego pieces on each island before moving on to the next one. There really isn't any long term building either since you eventually have to start deleting islands (at least back when I played it on PS4) since there was a limit to how many you could have going on at any one time.

How is Batman and MK11? Do they perform well on the Switch?

This game had a lot of promise. Lego should intrinsically make for a better Minecraft, but it had a few pretty significant issues that I experienced when playing it with my kid when it first launched:

1. The random generator could spawn a world with land biomes that were too small and had almost nothing interesting in it. You'd waste a ton of time trying to move across vast sections of sea only to find nothing on land.

2. the performance issues across basically every platform it was on rendered it largely unplayable for two player and on some consoles even single player performed quite poorly

3. The camera would have a hard time tracking the player and occasionally go crazy when in caves. It was very disorienting and at times actually made me feel dizzy.

There were some great times to be had, and I hesitate to say this game isn't worth $3 --it probably is worth $3, but if you're planning couch co-op on the switch, you might look to a more powerful platform where it is similarly cheap --but only marginally better performing.

Read the metacritic reviews. It's a great concept that's just poorly executed.
