This is a great deal. Also whoever is arguing wholesale prices are cheaper, ummm... ok? What are you gonna buy a lot of 100 at 25 dollars each and resell yourself? I've done the research and math - this is about the price you'd pay if you bought an m2 drive (that is compatible with xbox) with enclosure. And even then it's not 100 percent it will work properly at the end of the day. You have to do some legwork when formatting, etc.

Your actual beef is with Microsoft and their implementation of proprietary glorified memory cards. The price is right, the practice is another story.

Thanks OP.

Ah what the heck, in on 1. Getting tired of removing games just to make room for others - gamepass first world problems lol.

$90.00 for this is a great deal. Stop being ultra cheap. You must not be a Gamepass owner then. With data caps for many at 1.0 or 1.2 TB constantly Re-downloading a game, or streaming games (in addition to movies, shows, etc) is a huge time suck and not feasible. My only wish is that the OG series X had two input slots as I have this already and it doesn't make sense to upgrade to the larger size economically speaking. Hopefully this lower price means a 2TB Series X.
2tb without a disc drive leaked, cylindrical shape

Does anyone know the resell value keeping? I have a 512gb expansion already, trying to decide if it's worth it to jump up.

Will this allow you to play new high res games on it? I have an external hard drive but more than half the games I have to transfer back to the Xbox as microdifficult won't let you play from an external hard drive.

It's a basic 1TB SSD that's worth maybe $25 wholesale. Custom enclosure at scale probably adds just a couple dollars on top of it. 25% overhead puts it at or below $35.

It's a bad deal no matter how you rationalize it.
Not all SSD are created equally. Sure the basic ones are cheap, and so is the quality and data retention before those drives kick the bucket. Look up what a quality name brand M.2 SSD is going for. This is a good deal.

I normally don't trust buying from woot but figure this probably would be legit since it's a proprietary drive format. Tempting..

512gb used expansion cards seem to regularly sell for no less than $65-$70 on ebay.

Many sell for higher, so if you have a 512gb and are looking to upgrade you should make out very well even accounting for ebay fees and shipping.

Yes. This is viewed as the exact same thing as the internal storage to the Xbox. It runs and saves the 'optimized' games, whatever that actually means 🙄

LOL this guy. Its not about being cheap. Its about being gouged and forced into propriety hardware... I have a 2 TB SSD in my PS5 for months that was cheaper than this thing.
