The reason is simple. High fructose corn syrup is cheaper than sugar. And it's safe. Every so often, misinformation about HFCS circulates throughout the Internet and patients would bombard us about it. And our answer is always the same: Cut down on sugars but HFCS is no less healthy than other sugars, including honey. It's that simple. No quality peer-reviewed study has shown any increased morbidity or mortality in those eating HFCS vs other sugars. The FDA agrees. So do administrations around the world. As far as I know, HFCS is not banned in any country.

BTW, SpaghettiOs are made by Campbell's, not Chef Boyarde.

The "sale price" at my grocery store is 4 for $5.

FWIW I bought these last month and Amazon never shipped them. They were supposed to come last week with my S&S order.

Yeah, doesn't even taste the same. Their sauce changed over the years to runny liquid-ish V8 consistency.
