FWIW, this SKU comes with an excellent FHD panel: 93% sRGB coverage and 1567:1 contrast ratio, as measured by Jarrod's Tech (https://youtu.be/ah99ekbPMHQ). While this color gamut is common for 165Hz panels, contrast is about 50% higher compared to other gaming laptops in its price range.

Best buy says all of their open boxes come with a full factory warranty, same as new, even if they are rated as crap. Gonna drop by there today and get a look at one. They have a lot of now sought after 2022 laptops, before the oem's started cheaping out on plastic.

I bought this from BB when the new price was $1099 and open box excellent was $840. It is an excellent laptop, highly competent at everything, gamed significantly more quietly and comparable to the Alienware R15 with 3070ti. The Alienware clearly beat it if you go turbo mode, but the noise and heat were not the tradeoff I was willing to make. I returned the A16 ONLY because the new price dropped to $799 during a sale and the open box excellent went to $735 so I was going to return and rebuy saving $100 or so. BB must have realized that was too low, because they actually raised the open box prices.

This laptop was reviewed by notebookcheck and they found that it performed well and had excellent battery life. It could idle for 20 hours and got 12 hours in their WiFi surfing test.

If I were getting an AMD advantage laptop, this would be on my list of candidates. Their Linux support is usually top notch as compared to nvidia offerings which don't get as great Linux driver support.

I'd stick with what you have. That's a nice screen for media consumption. Too high res for the 3060 for newer games tho.
