I'll echo everyone else. Not sure about the m4 but the m3 has held up for me for several years, still feel brand new, no cracking issues. They are great investment, super comfy,they don't squeeze your head, lightweight, earpads haven't worn out, noise canceling is superb. Use them on flights and almost daily for work. Some complain they are very bass heavy and they are. I've seen some say the bluetooth quality isn't great but I think it's good. Sometimes it's an issue on the other end. For example on an android phone you have to manually set the Bluetooth bit rate higher in menu settings and music will sound much better

My only issue for not pulling the trigger on this is that the microphone from what I'm reading is really bad.

I have been using a pair of XM3s for about 3-4 years now of consistent use (including when gardening, exercising and other manual labor) and they've taken a beating and keep on going and no signs of cracking or any other damage.

Aside from the mic and possible cracking, this model has the best tested noise canceling so far. Even better than the xm5's. I wish I could justify the price though. I got the Anker space Q45 instead. Has good enough noise canceling with an excellent mic, and metal banded frame with no cracking.

Mine aren't that old, but see no signs of cracking. Use them every day for work and meetings. Had them about 3 months so time will tell...

I had both. I prefer this. I do miss the Apple spatial audio. This is also way more comfortable due to the lightweight design. The Max clamp to your head and very heavy.

If I remember correctly Adorama is horrible when it comes to returns. I vowed never to buy anything from them again. Anyways you can find good deals on ebay for these headphones better than shopping at this place.

I don't understand how Sony can't improve headband durability in general. I had a PS4 headset (Gold) that failed twice, never abused. I'd be reluctant to consider them in the future if my XM4's break the same way.

2 years in and mine still look new, no cracks and I also bought mine refurb at this price. I mostly use it on transit and on planes, it does a great job blocking out loud white noise where you can hear vocals without having to turn caption on. I also like how you can fold it into the case, much better for travel than the XM5s.

I have had xm3's for 4+ years and use them heavily, daily. Np cracking or issues, even after my puppy chewed on them.
